Hello!
Meet Danny Mecler, the creative force behind captivating designs and unforgettable improv performances. It all started back in high school when I fell head over heels for an introductory Photoshop class. The class was so much fun and exciting, a few friends and I asked if there was more to learn. We ended up making two more Advanced Graphic Design classes between two high schools. From there, I began creating homemade skateboard graphics for tech deck toys, igniting a passion for design that continues today.
After earning a degree in Digital Prepress from the College of DuPage, I embarked on a journey as the sole designer at a local AlphaGraphics printshop. Here, I transformed customer ideas into tangible realities; whether it's sleek stationery, dynamic branding, or eye-catching tradeshow materials. From there, I worked prepress at a paperboard packing company, a Jr Art Director at a custom promo product company, a social media and print designer for a chicago landlord company, and a designer for a consumer fire alarm company. With a knack for typography and layout, I consider myself a master of the Adobe trifecta: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I can effortlessly adapt to any design style, thanks to my diverse range of clients.
But my talents extend beyond the design studio. As a member of the improv teams Boink and Squatchin, I bring laughs and creativity to the stage of Westside Improv in Wheaton, Illinois. And when I’m not crafting designs or cracking jokes, you can find me lost in the world of guitar and effects pedals with his band Retina Sky. Sharing a home in Bartlett with my equally-passionate designer wife, Missy, and our trio of adorable cats (ask for pictures). Together, they inspire and uplift each other, forming a dynamic duo dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and making a lasting impact in design.
